We’re here to empower and support the unique needs of low-income youth, children, adults, veterans, immigrants, and seniors in our community through education and social services.
Our Vision
To help individuals and families navigate through life challenges and strengthen and empowered them to live their best lives!
Our Goal
We realized early on that before we can truly help the students in our programs, we must reach out to the students parents.
Our goal is to engage 1000 new families each year to move from poverty to self-sufficiency, to promote good mental and physical health to the community, to encourage renters to become homeowners, and ignite individuals to become active citizens of their communities and instilling a sense of responsibility.

Engaging in social activities during the senior years has been linked to numerous health benefits. Regular interaction in a social context, such as a senior center, allows senior citizens to stay socially active, promoting both their physical and mental health. Healthy habits such as participating in an exercise class or strolling in the local park not only provide physical activity but also present opportunities to meet new friends. These interactions can lead to improved cardiovascular health, enhanced mobility, and a stronger immune system.
Socializing also positively impacts mental health. Participating in mentally stimulating activities like card games or art classes helps keep the brain active and sharp, reducing the risk of cognitive decline. In addition, seniors who regularly spend time with their peers often report better moods and lower rates of depression and anxiety.

Parenting used to mean gathering around the kitchen table—sharing advice over coffee and a sweet treat. These days, busy schedules and long to-do lists make those meaningful moments harder to come by.
That’s why we created Family Matters Group Coaching—a chance to reconnect, reflect, and grow together. Whether you're joining us in person or online, grab your seat at the table once a month for empowering conversations, practical guidance, and support from fellow parents who understand the journey.
This free monthly meetup is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: New Canaan Baptist Church of Temple, The Community Foundation of West Georgia, and The Power of the Purse.
For families seeking more personalized support, Lamad University Corp International Life Coach Graduates have partnered with the Adell Foundation to offer sliding-scale fee coaching. You may choose from a team of certified life coaches, licensed therapists, licensed child psychologists, and certified parenting coaches—all available for one-on-one virtual sessions via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Ask your group coach for more information.
Let’s make space for parenting wisdom, laughter, and connection—one meetup at a time.
Help Us Fight Food Insecurity — One Meal, One Family at a Time
The Adell Foundation is experiencing a growing demand for our Family Matters food programs, with participation increasing by over 200%. In response, we've launched a Summer Meal Program at eight host sites across Georgia, ensuring that children from toddlers to age 18 receive one hot meal and a cold take-home breakfast, Monday through Friday.
Many families are forced to make tough choices between food, medicine, and basic living expenses. With your support, we can continue providing essential meals and critical support services like Family Coaching and Financial Literacy Education to help families regain stability.
Children are hungry—and you can help.

Adell Foundation was founded in the honor of Nancy's Mother, Adell Buchannan in 2011. Growing up in Dixmoor Illinois, although Nancy's mother had 16 children, her mother always seemed to have enough to help feed others in the neighborhood. Her mother was always sought after by young mothers for words of wisdom and tough love at times. Mrs. Buchanan always wanted to see people succeed and be the best that they can be!
Following in her mother's footsteps to help others, Nancy created this organization to give those in need a hand up and not just handouts! Adell Foundation offers self-sufficiency programs, social service referrals, and direct services to help fight poverty, hunger, and homelessness.
